Well Microsoft has a new SDK called the "Microsoft Component Installer Software Development Kit (Spring 2005)" which handles all of this for you.

数多くの Microsoft 製コンポーネントのインストールを行う単体ツールです．Managed DirectX の必須コンポーネントをほぼ一括でインストール出来るという意味でも注目ですね．2005年4月版での対応コンポーネントは以下の通り．

  • Microsoft DirectX 9.0c
  • Microsoft DirectX 9.0c for Managed Code

ただ，これで Managed DirectX Runtime のインストールが全く問題なくなるかというとまだやや疑問が残ります．まずはもうすぐ出るであろう DirectX 9.0 SDK Update (June 2005) に対応できるかどうかがひとつの試金石でしょうね．まあ Microsoft Component Installer Software Development Kit For Windows - June 2005 てのも出そうな予感はしますけど．
